Lions Clubs International District 2-X1 Leo Council organized a Food Drive on December 3, 2017 to honor the International Leo Day, which is on DECEMBER 5TH. Seven Leo Clubs of District 2-X1 (Coppell High, Dallas Ace, Dallas Everest, Dallas North Indo – Alpha, Dallas North Indo – Omega, Irving DFW Indian, and Forney Leo Clubs) had participated in this Food Drive. Collected foods by all these seven clubs were handed over to the District Leo Chair in Allen, Texas on December 3rd that were later delivered to the Samaritan Inn Inc., a comprehensive homeless program and the only homeless shelter in Collin County.

Over 35 Leos and Lions that include Vice District Governor Keith Murray; District Leo Chair Prakash Gautam; Leo Club Advisors Lion Daniel Madden, Lion Mistie Stephens, Lion Kedar Timilshna; Sponsoring Clubs Presidents/VP Lion Reddy Gottiplu, Lion BN Panta, and Lion Thala Raj Panta were present, among others, in the event. LCI District 2-X1 Governor Henry White had his full support to this event and had extended his best wishes, over the phone, for a successful Drive. At the central collection location in Allen, VDG Keith Murray thanked the Leo Council and urged to all the Leos and Lions to attend the District 2-X1 Mid-Winter Conference on January 20, 2018 in Irving.

On behalf of the Leo Council, District Leo Chair Lion Prakash Gautam thanked all the Leos, Lions, and the participating clubs for their exceptional support to this noble service project. He also announced that the officers’ installation of the recently formed Leo Council is scheduled during the Mid-Winter Conference on January 20, 2017.

The recently formed District Leo Council for the year 2017-2018 is comprised of President Mason Stephens, Vice President Isabel Mascarenhas, Secretary Tania Bijili, Treasurer Kritika Panta, Board Member Sweta Gautam, and Board Member Vibuti Panta.
